Article 4. Legal bases for processing

We handle course requests, trial lessons, enrolment, and purchased services to take steps you request before a contract or to fulfil our contract with you, under GDPR Article 6(1)(b).

For other enquiries and website security, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to you and keeping our services secure, under Article 6(1)(f), balanced against your rights.

Accounting records are processed to meet legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c). Where optional marketing or non-essential tracking requires consent, we rely on Article 6(1)(a).

Article 5. Telephone call recordings

We record calls with prospective students using Bitrix24 CRM to review their enquiries, understand their needs, and train our team. Recordings contain participants' voices and the information discussed. Authorised staff use them for these purposes.

We keep recordings within the EEA for 60 days from the date of the call, then delete them. Your rights under Article 10 also apply to call recordings.

Article 6. Who can access your data

Authorised staff and providers supporting our website, communications, payments, and courses may access the data needed for their work. We may also disclose data where required by law.

We use Bitrix24 CRM for enquiries, follow-up, and call recordings. Form submissions are also stored in our website database and sent to our company email account.

Article 7. Where your data is processed

We store and process your personal data within the European Economic Area, including Norway. Your data does not leave the EEA.

Article 8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for its purpose or to meet legal obligations. We delete call recordings after 60 days.

Article 9. Cookies and website analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for website functions, analytics, and advertising, including Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity. See our cookie policy for more information.

Depending on the circumstances and legal basis, you can:

  • Access your personal data and receive a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Request restrictions on how we use your data.
  • Receive certain data in a portable format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Object to direct marketing at any time.

You can withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Send requests to info@a-academy.no. We normally respond within one month. If the complexity or number of requests requires a permitted extension, we will explain this within that month. We may need to verify your identity.

You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, or another competent supervisory authority.
